Description: |
Provides highly technical support to sales and customers on network designs, pricing and complex systems. Provides a leadership role in working with other departments, partners and customers. In addition, this position will assist sales with presentations, proposals and customer support.
Develops and recommends strategic account plans, coordinates service delivery, collaborates with other functions in company, identifies new or expanded business opportunities, promotes new business ventures and participate in negotiation of terms and conditions.
Provides support as an individual or as a project leader for complex, multi-node network installations, network installations with complex applications, or large network installations with complex partnership business and management considerations.
Assumes principal technical and leadership role in sales presentations or demonstrations. Furnishes technical expertise and addresses customer questions about the network and hardware.
Knowledge and skills required:
College Degree or equivalent business experience and/or vendor certifications from Novell, Microsoft, 3Com, etc. is highly desired.
Technical expertise in network protocols (SNA, TCP/IP and IPX, etc) and WAN Protocols (Frame Relay, X.25, HDLC, etc.). Extensive knowledge of local area network routers, file servers, network operating systems and data communications is highly required. |
